Change detection in the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross model
We propose a change detection method for the famous Cox--Ingersoll--Ross
model. This model is widely used in financial mathematics and therefore
detecting a change in its parameters is of crucial importance. We develop one-
and two-sided testing procedures for both drift parameters of the process. The
test process is based on estimators that are motivated by the discrete time
least-squares estimators, and its asymptotic distribution under the no-change
hypothesis is that of a Brownian bridge. We prove the asymptotic weak
consistence of the test, and derive the asymptotic properties of the
change-point estimator under the alternative hypothesis of change at one point
in time.Comment: 30 page
A területi versenyképesség és a közszolgáltatások hozzáférhetőségének kapcsolata = Correlations Between Regional Competitiveness and Access to Public Services
A területi versenyképesség meghatározható úgy is, mint az adott térség azon képessége, amely révén vonzóvá válik a betelepülő tőke számára, illetve ennek révén a lakosság elöregedése és elvándorlása ellen hat. E logika mentén a fenntartható versenyképességet a fenntartható infrastruktúra, az elérhető közszolgáltatások és a vonzó életkörnyezet vizsgálatával tudjuk értékelni, és megállapítani, hogy társadalmi kontextusban milyen mértékben befolyásolják a vizsgált térségek gazdasági eredményességét. Jelen tanulmány négy magyarországi megye területi versenyképességének összehasonlítására vállalkozik, azok gazdasági, társadalmi, infrastrukturális, valamint az egyes közszolgáltatások hozzáférhetőségének jellemzői mentén. Az alkalmazott módszertan tekintetében a szerző, többek között, látensváltozós modellezési eljárással (SEM) vizsgálja a szakirodalmi kutatások eredményeként meghatározott dimenziók direkt és indirekt hatását az érintett területek versenyképességi jellemzőinek leírásánál
A corpus-based analysis of language ideologies in Hungarian school metalanguage
The main goal of this paper is to present a recently built interview corpus called Corpus of Hungarian School Metalanguage – Interview Corpus (CHSM-IC) and its potential in language ideology studies. This corpus was compiled during a broad survey on Hungarian school metalanguage carried out in 2009 and was recently made available for a wider research community within the CESAR (Central and South-East European Resources) project.
The study investigates interactional routines used in metadiscourses on language use. Printed texts cited from prestigious handbooks and interview data from CHSM-IC are compared. Thus, widely used, culturally-inherited text fragments are detected and confronted with the interviewees’ narratives on their own communicational experiences. A case study on the discourse marker hát (‘so’, ‘well’) illustrates that there is a conflict and often a controversy between language ideologies disseminated by the Hungarian school system and the linguistic self-representation in the interviewees’ narratives.
Combining Language Ideology, Conversation Analysis, Discourse Analysis and Discursive Social Psychology frameworks, the paper presents a detailed description on the emergence of metadiscourses in a school setting. The paper concludes that metalinguistic utterances (e.g., answers on grammaticality, statements on linguistic accuracy, etc.) and observable, spontaneous (or semi-spontaneous) language use patterns are regularly not in accordance with each other
Change detection problems in branching processes
A sztochasztikus folyamatok paramétereinek megváltozását észlelni
folytonos idejű, folytonos állapotterű elágazó folyamatként is ismert.
Ebbe a sorba illeszkedik még egy harmadik eredmény is, amely az első
két eljáráshoz hasonló gondolatokkal, a feltételes legkisebb négyzetek
módszerét használva ad becslést a pénzügyi modellezésben elterjedt
Heston-modell paramétereire diszkrét idejű megfigyelések alapján
